The event, which recovered its on-site format one hundred percent, closes a week where it has attracted the attention of creators and the general public to a unique location: La C\u00e1rcel_Segovia Creation Center, the new headquarters that perfectly adapts to the spirit of the event. Professional accreditations were sold out in hours and the sector went back to Segovia to announce its new projects, initiatives and synergies. \u201cThe industry longed to have a meeting point and their expectations have been accomplished. It was a complicated edition, but we have worked hard to return to the path prior to the pandemic and thanks to the support of professionals in the sector we have succeeded\u201d in the words of Jos\u00e9 Luis Farias, its director.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the highlights of this 2021 was the presentation of <em>Robot Dreams<\/em> by Pablo Berger. The first foray into animation by the Basque filmmaker, author of works such as <em>Blancanieves<\/em> (winner of 10 Goya Awards), <em>Abracadabra<\/em> or <em>Torremolinos 73<\/em>, exclusively presented the new poster-teaser for this production. In addition, it was also revealed that the graphic novel on which the film is based will be republished next year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another of the headlines was that Planeta Junior announced its support to Next Lab. The Grupo Planeta \/ De Agostini company made public that it will select and support one of the projects of the second edition of Next Lab, an initiative that promotes new forms to work in animation using disruptive technologies and that has the sponsorship of the Community of Madrid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The figures for this edition leave 19 <a href=\"https:\/\/weirdmarket.es\/en\/presentacion-de-proyectos-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">projects presentations<\/a> from its catalog, a selection from the 200 total titles that appear in it. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/zjfbgkihl40kqv1\/CatalogoWeirdMarket2021.pdf?dl=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">publication<\/a> is a guide that this year brings together 19 feature films, 34 short films, 31 animation series, 36 video games, 28 web series, 17 transmedia projects, 20 comic books and 15 board games.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event once again featured a recruitment day where more than 470 job interviews were carried out. 13 international companies came with their recruiters to look for new professionals to become part of their work teams. Just as <em>Only a Child<\/em> by Simone Giampaolo and <em>Loop<\/em> by Pablo Polledri have obtained the Audience Awards for best international short film and best national short film, respectively. In the projects part <em>Roped <\/em>by Carmen C\u00f3rdoba, won the Movistar + Short Film Project Award, <em>Titan Tofu<\/em> by Mar\u00eda Luquero the Best Young Creator Series Project Award and RTVE highlighted <em>Call of the Sea<\/em> as Best Video Game Project, <em>Desolatium: Prologue<\/em> as Most Innovative Video Game Project and <em>Moons of Darsalon<\/em> as the Weird Plus Video Game
